Community Outreach
FIRST® Team 79 Krunch members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. We enjoy working together with our community partners on various service projects that not only focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), but promote peace and education; fight disease; encourage the advancement of women in STEAM-related fields; grow local economies; protect the environment; support our troops/veterans and much more.
FIRST® Team 79 Krunch is always looking to work together with new community partners and corporate sponsors who have similar missions, values and initiatives. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change! To find out more information, please contact us.
While this is not a comprehensive list of all of the projects FIRST® Team 79 Krunch has participated in, it does highlight some of our achievements and illustrates our commitment to making a difference in our community and in the world.
Promoting FIRST® and STEM
Since 1998, Team 79 Krunch has promoted FIRST® and STEM throughout our community by performing robotics demos, teaching summer robotics workshops, participating in engineering clubs and organizations, and by volunteering at local schools.
LOCAL OUTREACH
During our FIRST® FRC Robotics Team’s post-season, The Interact Club of Krunch Robotics (a.k.a. FIRST® Team 79 Krunch) enjoys working together with our community partners on various service projects that not only focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), but promote peace and education; fight disease; encourage the advancement of women in STEAM-related fields; grow local economies; protect the environment; support our troops/veterans and much more.
GLOBAL OUTREACH
For many years, Team 79 Krunch has partnered with schools, such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and collected donations of toys, clothes, and surpluses of school supplies and distributed them to needy children in South Africa, Fiji, Tanzania, Nicaragua, Belize, Cuba, Honduras, and Cape Verde, Africa.
In partnership with Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, The Interact Club of Krunch Robotics (a.k.a. Team 79 Krunch) supported the United for Ukraine Supplies Drive collecting items for war-torn Ukrainian.
