Past Awards
Chairman's Award
- Most prestigious FIRST award
- Recognizes the team that represents the mission of FIRST and creates a model for other teams to follow
- Teams compete for this award during regional, district, and/or championship events
- Some of the requirements include:
- Completion of a 10,000 character essay outlining team's continued success and accomplishments
- Creation of a video that visually represents the ideals outlined in the essay
- A few selected students who will be interviewed by judges at each event

Dean's List Award
- Consists of two students from 10th or 11th grade who have embodied FIRST core values and been committed to every aspect of their team
- These two students will go on to represent the team at competition in an interview with the judges
- Winners will be invited to attend the World's Competition to compete against other Dean's List Finalists
- Dean's List Nominees are selected by the coach and mentors based on their commitment and actions during pre-season and build season
Woodie Flowers
- Honors a mentor on the team who has contributed substantially to FIRST, STEM, and Team 79 Krunch
- Mentor is nominated by a vote of all the students
- An essay is written outlining the mentors contributions
- Nominated mentors are then considered for Woodie Flowers Finalists at regionals
Spirit
- One of the many awards given out at regional competitions, this is the award that Team 79 Krunch has won more than any other
- Recognizes the team who has shown extraordinary enthusiasm both during competition and in their community
- Honors a team's commitment and dedication
- Shows a team's constant support, encouragement, and aid to other teams and the community
